sig being sig. finding new and innovative ways to screw their customers.
I mean, Sig does kinda suck at times but at least read the damn thing before you comment. They are specifically stating you will get the second mag at a later date. I dont see how this is an attempt to "screw" anyone, with the alternative being shipping half the amount of guns. (or less) For those looking to make a purchase the alternative of a gun and one mag or no gun at all is an easy one.

I agree with this, mostly.... not a big deal if it means getting more guns out to people.

exactly why I posted the entire announcement so people could see it exactly they way they alerted retailers , so no one thinks they are getting outright screwed, but unlike yourself , most people only read the headline

Dammit! I'm waiting for my CoronaVirus stimulus check to buy a Sig. I'd been wanting a P320 X-Five Coyote, which came with four 21-round magazines. They discontinued that model when they introduced the P320 X-Five Legion. The new (ugh - gray) gun only comes with three 17-round magazines. I wonder if that would be cut to ONE now (?).

In the meantime, I can buy 12-rounders for my old reliable MA-compliant M&P9c that's lived its life with tens, so, I've got that going for me...

I only have 2 Sig pistols, both 1911’s, and their 1911 mags suck so bad we sent back a box of 100 to them saying we don’t want them. They all get fed with Wilson’s now, not one problem since.

This is a common issue with a lot of brands. They use junk mags because of branding, it's insane. Even Dan Wesson does this. I got two mags with my Specialist and one was faulty. I only ever carry it with Wilson ETM and 47D mags.

I too have a Sig TTT 1911. I had issues with last-round hold open with the factory mags until I replaced the slide release with a Wilson Combat part. I also got some Wilson Combat ETM mags, and they ALL work great now. My Sig 1911 runs like a top. Never a failure of any sort after replacing the factory MIM part.

sig would never make their own 1911 magazines
they shipped with checkmate mags
if you’re having problems w checkmate mags that’s quite interesting, but not really a sig issue

At least they are promising the second mag when the supply lines open up.

will likely require a few class action suits and an optional upgrade to obtain that 2nd mag

Don’t know who made them, they were unbranded. And they sucked. I’d say it’s a Sig issue if that’s what they’re putting in the boxes with their pistols.

They may have changed who they use due to too many complaints, this was back around 2010 or so.

It's probably shitmate. Their QC sucks. They used to sell M9 mags to the DOD that were f***ing junk, too, alll because Beretta was either too expensive or couldn't make enough....
