So im building my lower and I just installed the Geissele SSA Trigger. I can't tell if there is a 2nd stage or not. Did I do something wrong? Should it be noticeable? Any help would be great on this.

Make sure the hammer is cocked and the safety is off. Hold your hand on top of the hammer so when the trigger breaks the hammer doesn't slam against the lower. Gently pull on the trigger, it should move fairly easily. Keep gently pulling until it stops moving - this is the end of the first stage. Now gradually increase the pressure of your pull until the trigger "breaks" and the hammer is released - that is the second stage.

Ok I feel really dumb. I guess I didnt completely understand the two stages until you explained it. For some reason I could only think of something like DA/SA trigger on a pistol. But I get it now. I thought the 2nd stage locked into place and stayed that way like an SA would. Thanks again everything is fine, I'm just dumb. Reps your way!!

IMO It's not a dumb question, it's a perfectly legit one if you've never experienced a 2 stage rifle trigger before. Most of the crap out in the wild is single stage in some form or another.
