I've seen a bunch of guys running RMR's, and use the sight as the racker in a pinch. Is the Burris not as rugged, or did the customer just want the extra piece?

The customer made all his choices. I'm doing another for him and a few for a SWAT team that will co-witness with tall sights.

Cool, like the S&W CORE model? How do you calculate the proper mounting depth so it co-witnesses?

I was thinking the same thing. Not sure about this sight but the nice ones are definitely touch enough to rack against the optic. I for one would rather have backup sights installed over a racker.
