...I've heard alot of horror stories about failures in the new Gen 4 line.

I'm using a Gen 2 G21, a wonderful pistol and I want to make it last. I found a kit and want to buy it, but does anyone think will these parts might possibly suffer from the same issues?

Thanks for any info.

What issues? Glock is perfect. Don't believed what you read on the internet. [grin]

Gen 4 is mostly a different spring, you cannot interchange parts on the upper. So if you are buying all new guts for a gen 2 upper and lower your good to go.

Btw. Most of the problems were in 9mm with too stiff a spring. I've had no issues with the dreaded 40's.
Some people have had issues with the 21 gen 4 with brass crapping on their forehead. Mine has had no issues

I checked with the gents over at The Firing Line and they confirmed the new Gen 4's have had problems, especially with what Mark mentions above about brass hitting people right between the eyes. The clerk said straight-out there's no way he'd ever trade his Gen 3 for a brand-new Gen 4.

My brother in law just picked up a g21 gen4 and we have put 200rds thru her and no failures. I think the 9s had the most problems
