During my lifetime I only knew my Grandfather professionally as the owner of a nursery and landscape construction business. But, before that he was an engineer at H&R. I knew that he had been an engineer and had worked for a gun manufacturer, but I never thought to talk to him about it. I never knew of him as a shooter and none of his children shot or owned guns Even though he was still alive when I got my ltc, I never thought to ask him to go shooting. He passed away a couple of years ago.
Fast forward to today and since I am the only licensed person in the family I just inherited his H&R model 733 chambered in 32 s&w. It is marked H&R inc. Worc. MA. So does anyone know anything about this revolver? I know it is awkward to hold and heavy and it seems like a weak caliber, but it is already one of my favorite guns given it's history. Anyone else have any details about the gun? Anyone know what the little button behind the trigger does? It's related to the action but I can't figure out exactly what it is.
