New to guns. Is there any possible way to obtain a Glock 19x here in MA after this new law has been put into play? Private sale? From a police officer that is selling? Thank you for any insight.

The 45 and 19x are almost identical, but one isn’t baby shit brown. I like and own both.

Go to a dealer and ask. There is a place. It has many, many knowledgeable FFL’s. I think that would be the place to look first. Saturday mornings after 10AM would be a good start.

I have a 19x, nothing special about it. BUT WAIT… it has a lanyard ring!!

19X and 19 aren't the same gun. The 19X is exactly like a G45 except for a couple key differences. The 19X was designed for the US Army's modular handgun system to replace the Beretta M9. US Army ultimately chose the Sig P320. Glock decided to produce the 19X for the civilian market instead. It's purpose built for the Army and includes stupid features like a lanyard and specialized magazines. There's a little bump on the magwell so gen 5 G17 mags aren't compatible without changing the base plate. If you want a full-sized grip with a compact slide then the G45 is the real choice unless you've got a hard-on for military tested guns. The color is also unique but you can cerakote to whatever you want nowadays or just choose the G45 in FDE.

Glock didn't have to make it so damn confusing but they did.
