Hello, All I'am new to the website long time shooter, I'am hoping for some input / advice one a newly purchased hand gun well its used but new to me first of all it is a Gen 3 Glock 22 .40 after purchasing it i did a field strip and notice to marks ( bare metal ) sort of like distorted metal on both sides of the ejection port i've put about 50 rds through the gun shoots and feeds fine however the spent brass is out of round opposite side of the primer. like the top of the case is bend inwards these marks on the inside of my slide are a big concern to me i do carry this pistol on a regular basis does anyone have any info about this that would be a great help thank you very much - josh

...the spent brass is out of round opposite side of the primer...

Can you explain that part better?

I think you may just have the spent brass casings being "hit" and "pushed" by the ejection port of the slide and it is leaving residue on the slide? maybe?

+1 for pics of the questioned area to get a better idea.

Typically it don't hurt the running none and is considered normal. My 2nd gen 22 has nice peens ... I grip it and rip it all the time... not a single problem.
