I finally gave my Glock 23 a 25 cent trigger job. It does seem to have improved the trigger pull and it was quite easy to do. There is a YouTube video that gives step by step instructions.

I did one on a friend's G22. I couldn't tell much of a difference, but he thought it was pretty dramatic. eh.

I wouldn't call it dramatic, but it does seem to be a bit of an improvement. I don't have a trigger scale so I don't know if it reduced the pull any, but seems a bit cleaner.

I installed a 3.5 pound connector and a titanium safety plunger--and it's super smooth. It was actually quite easy to do as well, with the instructional videos out there.

M1911,
You've inspired me to turn my G22 into a CZ Shadow Custom Target. After a half hour of meticulous work polishing all contact points to a mirror shine... I'll just let the results speak for themselves.

Opportunity cost mostly. I lost my chance to be sitting on the couch eating Cheetos and watching Star Wars.

This is a must-do mod for Glocks. It is easy to do. Before I bought a Glock, I checked a bunch locally. Some had alright triggers, and others had awesome triggers. After getting a cheap Glock with an "alright" trigger, I did the mod and found out what made those other Glock triggers "awesome."

How many times had that Glock been live/dry fired before?

That gun's definitely been fired enough to have already smoothed out any tool marks where it matters.

Mine has had less than 500 rounds through it.

When mine was new I got a Wolf competition spring kit and 3.5 lb Glock connector (the aftermarket connector I tried first made it do something very bad). The reduced power striker spring made the trigger pretty sweet but caused light hits on Winchester primers, so I went back to the factory spring.

I bought my Glock 34 used and it would have light strikes periodically. I put in a factory striker spring and the light strikes stopped. I don't know if the previous owner put in a lighter striker spring, but I suspect he did.

Hate to rehash this one but has anyone tried this with a M&P? My buddy just bought a Glock watched him do it wile watching the pats game and was wondering if I could do it to my M&P of it would help at all.

I haven't yet. Kinda debating on what to do. I sent my P225 to Greg Derr really happy with it but te only problem is when I go to the range I just keep going back to the M&P. I might have Greg do a trigger job on the M&P

The Apex stuff is drop in. You can easily install it. If you've got a MA-legal M&P with the 10+ lb trigger, then you need a heck of a lot more than an M&P version of the Glock trigger job. You need to get that trigger down below 7 lbs at least, and polishing a few parts gently isn't going to get you there.

Do a search here on NES. A bunch of folks have put in Apex parts.

The MA-legal M&P is absolutely unshootable from the factory. If I bought one, I wouldn't shoot a single round through it before I fixed the trigger.

+1 for the Apex kit on the M&P. As for the .25 cent job, I think that it can slightly smooth things out on a brand new glock. Not sure about any improvements, if any, to a fully broken in glock having this job done. I decided not to do this with my new 19 and let it break in naturally, but I still may end up doing this within the next couple weeks if I get bored

I had a trigger job for my M&P done by Greg Derr, it's great. Absolutely makes the gun fun to shoot and more accurate due to the reduced strength required to pull the trigger.

What's the difference between a "Glock 25 cent" trigger job and "GHOST Rocket Trigger for Glocks?"

Amazon.com: GHOST Rocket Trigger Installation 6 Piece Kit for Glocks. "RIK": Sports & Outdoors

The 25 cent trigger job involves polishing the metal contact surfaces on the trigger bar, striker, connector, and firing pin safety plunger. My opinion is that the benefit is marginal, but others may disagree. It's free if you already have a Dremel.

The Ghost kit has a new connector (ligher but mushier trigger), stronger trigger spring (lighter trigger), and lighter striker spring (lighter trigger but risk of light primer strikes). If you go this route, use Federal primers and only load 2 in the mag at first. I had something scary happen with an aftermarket connector.

My advice is to just get the Wolff competition spring kit.
