So this morning I recieved a message from a gentalman located in FL. I had posted I was looking for a 2nd gen glock 26 on another forum. (don't worry my heart lies here). I already own a almost new Glock 3rd gen 19 and paid a very reasonable MA price for it considering the night sites are new and all the mags it came with. But I decided I didn't want to pay MA prices for another. Granted it wouldnt be new and I would have to cash out almost another 100 bucks with ffl fees and overnight shipping. But even with that its still less then $600+ for a used service gun with a million rounds threw it.
I got the first three letters of the serial number and called up glock to confirm when it was made. Lucky me it was about a month or so before the 10/21/98 cut off. I also called FS, told them the numbers they agreed to do the transfer and im good as gold.

I ounce had a g17 and sold it but I had kept one of the pre-ban 17 round mags. I also have a 15 round mag for the glock 19. I want to get one of the A&G grip extension. Has anyone had any experience with either of these. I am guessing the 19 mag will fit better in hand but the g17 mag would be sweet to have 17 rounds for a backup.

I dont want to buy two of theses what would you suggest.

I have a g19 mag that I use in my 26 with the gap spacer. I like it, but I bought the 26 to conceal and using the 19 mag really increases the foot print.

It's great for the range though. That and a 33rounder ;)

I'm confused.
You own a Glock 19
You're buying a baby Glock 26 but want to use the longer mags from the 19 and the 17 in it?

Why? If you want the capacity why not just use the Glock 19?

I have a 26 and a 34. I never stick my 34 mags in my 26 because...well I could just use them in my 34.

Or am I missing something.

I think he's saying that he has the option of using a 17 mag or a 19 mag... but only wants to buy the grip extension for one... and wants to know which we think he should buy.

I think both would fit a hand nicely... so I say get whichever you want [smile]

the mags would be used as a back mag or for fun at the range. I am all about options, the more the merrier.
But I think I am going with the 15 round mag.

In Glocks, all magazines work down. Basically 17 magazine works in 19 and 26 and 19 magazine works in 26.
When carrying the 26, I have a 17 magazine as my spare, in case I have to reload. Also when taking classes you can use larger capacity magazines to keep going.

I have a G26 and a G17rtf2,
I have 10 12 15 , 17 and 33 round magazines

I can see wanting the 10 or a 10 with a Pierce baseplate to get 12 for CCW in the G26, but if you are like most people, and carry a spare magazine or 2, IMHO you might as well go for capacity in the spares since the size and weight difference is negligible.

I would NOT put an capacity extending baseplate on a Glock 26/7 magazine in MA since it would violate the state AWB unless you are a LEO since the guns weren't introduced until after 1994.
