Forgive me if this has been posted before, but I couldn't find anything on the search. Has anyone on here had their Glock factory refurbed? How much does it cost? How does the process work? How long does it take? If the gun has night sites will it come back with them? I just picked up a very nice Gen3 G23, I plan on keeping it for a long time as my primary gun, but since it is 11 years old now I figured it couldn't hurt to make it like brand new.

It cost $45 for refurb + appox $50 to ship to glock. It will take 8-10 weeks. Call glock there are very helpful.

The $45 would only be for slide refinishing. Glock will replace all the internals for free.

For night sights, Glock metal factory brand (15 year warranty) are $57, and I think Trijicon's are about $72 (12 year warranty). These prices are from last summer, so you might want to call them to confirm.

A friend of mine had his done, including the slide refinishing. It took a couple of months to get it back, but it looks great. It was pretty old and the trigger was noticeably different from a newer glock. After getting it back he says it's like having a brand new gun. Trigger nice and crisp.

Thanks guys. I already have the Glock night sights, so I just want to make sure it comes back with them. The $45 seems like a good deal for the refinish, and you can't beat free to replace the internals. Why so much to ship it though?

i mailed in a g19 slide on 7/28,the very same day i got it from zero hour.someone polished the black off.i figured 45 bucks for refinish with return shipping sounded awesome.the frame looks great,i cant wait to put it back together.

Doug, Like I told you the gun was done a few years ago when I was at the factory in Georgia, to get the barrel and slide done it cost 60.00 and you can mail it to them in a padded envelope thru the mail with a check for 60.00 and a note asking for both slide and barrel refinished with your return address on it and it should take 6-8 weeks to get back. If you don't want to mail the entire gun. Customer service has been great in my experiences so just call them first and them decide. BRR

Just a heads-up-- if you want to send the whole gun in you'll have to send it via Fedex or ups overnight. If you're not an FFL you can't ship handguns via USPS. You might want to factor in that cost. It's probably cheaper to have your local dealer send it in for you.

Just send the whole thing back to Glock and get the factory night sights installed. It wont leave the factory unless it meets factory specs (they replace all the worn parts). Even if you just want the sights they'll refurb anything that's worn. Call them, they're great.
