has nayone tried to take off a floorplate, the "button plate" is SUPPOSED to slide sideways, but I put sooo much pressure on it it finally snapped in 2!!!!!
I had the same problem. I shipped them down to Glock (7 preban hi-caps) and they rebuilt (new spring, follower and floorplates) and shipped them back to me FREE of charge. 2 week turn around.

The first time you remove a glock mags floor plate does take a good amount of force but they are funny in that once you remove it for the first time they come of much easier the next time.
Here's some good info on how to do it. You need to press the corner of the mag firmly against a bench or something. It takes a pretty firm press the first time you do it. Once you get the hang of it you won't have any problems. Luckily, Glock mags rarely need to be taken apart. http://custom-glock.com/magtech.html
