the dimensions are perfect for a compact that is a little bigger than an M&PC and smaller than the G19
If they offeerd this as a 9mm I bet they'd move a ton of them.
I know I'd own one.[grin]

30S has thicker frame than a 26 or 19. Keep in mind the 30S was borne out of people putting the 36 slide on a 29/30 frame.

closest thing to a G26/19 in 45acp was the G36, but everyone complained about capacity.

personally i love the 30S, 19, 26 and 43. To me theyre all near perfect.

what I dont understand is the G30 gen4. Why would I want a thick slide carry 45? Me no understandy why glock still makie it.

Wouldn't a 26 with a +1 or +2 mag extension do just about the same thing, while being thinner? Or are you after something more like a G19 with a short grip frame?

good chart
I like the length and the height on the 30S it puts it right between the 26 and the 19.
I'm sure if that was a 9mm and not a .45 the width would also be equal to the 19 and 26.
regardless ....wishful thinking

Not sure if serious, a 19 is still narrower. Buy a 19.

Because some of us prefer the fathead, I would bet the fathead has better ammo compatibility and less sensitivity to limpwristing. I bet it's more manageable with really hot ammo, too.

i've shot the G30s and a gen 4 G30 side-by-side and didn't notice a huge difference. they both shoot very soft. definitely the standard G30 slide is a few oz heavier so it's got some advantanges there.

i've never compared them with +P or particularly hot ammo, but can say the G30s handles 230gr HST +P incredibly well. i am routinely shocked how well all the glock models handle 45acp with almost no muzzle flip (well i've never shot a G36).

however the nose on G30s slide is tapered like a G26 or G41, which is a nice touch for carry gun. probably if carrying in shoulder rig or OWB then the G30s slide isn't going to offer much, but i think for IWB it makes a difference.

The Gen4 G19 is slightly thinner in the grip without using any of the grip adapters. Slides are the same width on both. The G30S is slightly shorter than the G19, and not as high as the G19. The G30S also has the short frame. No need for a G30S in 9mm.

I don't get it. I have normal (medium) sized meathooks and I have no problems with the 21/30 grip size. I own both (along with a 17, a 19 and a 26) and I have no problem with the regular .45ACP grip size.
I have even switched to the 30 from the 19 as my EDC.

^this
my wife has small female hands and she shoots a gen4 G21 as well as I do.

Most small SS .45s are cult guns anyways.

CS45 is an early one. Been keeping my eyes out for one....
