I recently purchased a Glock 26, and would like to transfer the night sights on my G19 to my G26, and the factory sights on the G26 to the G19. I have read a lot of threads on using a nylon punch or a sight pusher etc, however I was hoping somebody could point me in the direction of a gunsmith on the South Shore (Quincy area). The only gun shop I know of is Hunters Trading Post, anyone have any suggestions?

I bet Zero Hour in Easton could do it no problem. It's probably not even a half hour from Quincy, assuming you don't go during rush hour.

This is not a big deal. My experience in removing/installing the rear sight in a Glock 17 couldn't be easier and literally took only a couple of minutes.

Removal
- make note of rear sight position, it should be centered
- Hold gun in vise with something soft (towel).
- Gently tap out sight with hammer and wood dowel.

Install
- clean out area
- position new sight as far as possible by hand
- tap into place with hammer and wood dowel
- visually center sight looking straight down at it
- optionally you can use a dab of blue loctite ( any hardware store)

If the sight won't go in, you may need to dress the edge with a fingernail file or piece of sandpaper.

true... when the sights cost 80-90 bucks, you wait 15 min and pay 99.95 OTD installed from the store. [laugh]

also, not everyone has a vice at home [wink]

I have the Glock sight tool to do this with. I can do it while you wait for it. We are open today until 4pm and tomorrow 9-4pm.

Thanks for the advice thus far, anyone have any suggestions on somewhere closer to Quincy? The G26 is practically brand new, I would rather spend a few bucks than do it myself without the proper tools, however I would like somebody that knows what they are doing to do it.
