Does anyone have experience replacing Glock Gen4 trigger/trigger bar assembly with a Gen 3 one?
As you know, Glock replaced a Gen 3 trigger bar with a Gen 4 one with a "bump" in the front part that interacts with the striker safety plunger.

I've done some work on Glock triggers in the past, replacing connectors, polishing the parts, etc. I am in general satisfied with trigger pull quality I am getting on my Gen 3 Glocks with the mentioned modifications. Gen 4 Glocks triggers, IMHO, are not as good as I would personally like, and I am looking for ways to fix it on my competition Gen 4 Glocks. All said has no relation to any of my carry guns.

I haven't noticed any real difference between the trigger bars. For me, the biggest issue was the connector. With a slightly different internal geometry, the standard connector produced a heavier trigger in the Gen4 guns, which is why they introduced the "dot" connector (& I believe also why the 3.5# connector was re-designated as 4.5#)

FWIW, I have heard of people simply grinding the bump off of the trigger bar, but I'm not sure I'd go that route, even on a competition gun.

I have swapped all my Gen 4 glock triggers with Gen 3 (Glock 17) Triggers.

I do this to all my glocks that have the serated triggers because I prefer the "smooth" trigger face fond on the 17/22, etc.

With the swap, I feel a more smooth trigger pull and break, with the Gen4 trigger/bar assembly, it is a harder break IMO.
