I usually do 5 rounds and clean for the first 50 rounds. Some people are much more exacting.

I broke in my chrome lined Stag upper at the Frosty shoot last saturday. I shot the first 100 rounds slowly so as not to over heat it. Then broke it down and ran an oiled bore snake through it a few times. Then shot another 260 rounds through it over the course of the day.

If you have a chrome lined bore I don't think an extra special break-in routine is going to help it or hurt it.
