so with the rising cost of ammo prices i did something i swore id never do and bought a walther p-22 pistol...i had so much fun with the little .22 that i decided to step it up a notch and get a gsg-5 to take to the range as well

i already own a 10/22 but thats just not tacticool enough for me and hasnt come out of the safe in about 5 years...so after waiting for a few weeks my gsg finally came in and i took it to the range today

i fired about 200 rounds of winchester wildcat without a hiccup...the gun is a blast to shoot!

i was originally a little upset with its performance but then realized it was due to operator malfunction and not weapon malfunction...i was trying to rapid fire the little beast and it kept jamming...i switched the ammo and it still kept jamming...then i realized it wasnt the gun or the ammo its was me...i had my support had on the mag well and was gripping the magazine in such a way that wouldnt let the spring ride up through the mag...i corrected my grip and all was well

very fun gun to shoot...accurate and well built...im thinking of doing a few mods to it...the but stock is kind of cheesy...i think im gonna put an airsoft stock on it...other than that its awesome and i suggest you all try one!

Thanks for the report, Mine arived at ZHA and I will pick it up tomorrow..
I have found some helpful info on ar15.com for mods.

From what I have heard from people the only malfunctions people have experienced is operator malfunctions due to the exact thing you experienced.

I have one of these and it's really cool. I too had the same issues with holding the mag spring. These guns are really cool and are a blast to shoot.

derek dont bother...ill be bringing plenty of .22!!!

for you guys that have one...is it true that you shouldnt slap the cocking lever to close the bolt? i read that somewhere and am scared to do it so i just cock it back further and let it fly

I take it these are completely legal for us to buy in MA then? I was looking at them probably about 2 months ago and thought they were cool looking. A little pricey for a .22 but if it works without a problem i would consider getting one for sure.

Yes, you can buy them in MA now. IIRC, one of the dealers posted something about them on the forum a couple of months ago.
