Is the GSG-5PK MA legal? This is the pistol version of the GSG-5 rifle. I believe it comes with a threaded barrel so you can attach a flash hider, which (i think) in turn makes this non MA approved. I may have just answered my own question.

Does it weigh over 50 ounces?

The FH thing could be dealt with by having someone put a nut on it and weld it... but the 50 ounce thing is usually what ends up killing most new "large pistols with mags in front of the trigger group" in states that still have an AWB.

Now, as far as the MA complance crap goes, it'll probably never be compliant... but that has little to do with it being "legal" or not.

Just pay a FFL/SOT to register one as an SBR, slap a stock on it, and transfer away...

A no-go in MA (even though some dealers here have been selling them).

In addition to the flash hider problem, there's the magazine outside of the grip, handguard/barell shroud, weight and semi-automatic version of an automatic firearm features to contend with.

Some of those features can be gotton around/bypassed with a little creative thinking, but then you'd end up with a firearm that looked nothing like you started out with.

The SBR thing that EasyD mentioned is the only real viable idea. Then of course you end up with a short rifle instead of a pistol.

Zero Hour is building these now as SBR's. Saw a few of them there over the weekend.
