So I got a matte finish Browning Hi Power at the end of last year. Everytime I hold it, use it, or clean it it ends up with these areas of almost condensation? is this bad for the gun? Beyond that I've been using BreakFree CLP to clean it and that stuff just gets everywhere no matter careful I am with it. It makes it's way through the gun seeping down on to the trigger and also ends up on the hammer..... is this ok for that stuff to stay on the gun in some capacity? Sorry if this question is the ultimate of newbee questions, but I do appreciate all your help. Thanks in advance.

Jordo: If by condensation you mean water- that is bad. If the lube is pooled up in spots that's OK. Water is the enemy.

Greg is right. Keep the water away, especially sweat. A salty, oily fingerprint will rust itself a nice little portrait on your gun. Some finishes are tougher than others. If you're slathering that CLP all over the place, you should be fine. It just makes a mess, and you'd rather have that than rust.
