Greetings,

I am currently looking at relocating my family to NH. I am currently a member of Harvard Sportsmen Club and love it. One of my concerns is finding a gun club that allows me to practice action shooting without being overly restricting. I really want the ability to draw from a holster, reload from mag pouch, etc, and would also like to have the ability to shoot on the move, setup targets in various configurations, etc.

I do plan on picking up rifle, but right now the focus is on pistol skills.

There are two areas that are I am considering moving to :

1.) 93 corridor: This area has Londonderry Fish & Game as well as Pelham Fish and Game. Both seem to be well reviewed and welcoming clubs. I'm not worried about finding a good club in this area.

2.) Seacoast area : I am very familiar with the Sig Sauer Academy, which has started hosting competitions, but the range here is not open to the public (I've heard rumors, but nothing there yet). I also see Exeter Sportsmen (Exeter), and Country Pound Fish and Game (Newton) are in the area. Does anyone know much about these clubs, how busy they are, or if their facilities would be able to support my action shooting goals?

Are there any other club recommendations in this area?

The reason I ask is because as I weigh pro/cons of different areas, if I have to drive a significant distance every week to practice, that is going to impact the decision making process.

Thanks in advance.

I've shot at county pond with a friend that lives in that area, I'm guessing by what I saw they don't allow action shooting, they have a 25/50/100 range, trap/skeet range and an indoor range, that's about it as far as I can tell, they do have a club FFL though which has its advantages

I cannot comment on any other club

Pelham. Very friendly and welcoming and there are different areas on site for EVERY shooting style. Its an <hour drive for me, but well worth it. The action ranges (4 of them with more in the works) are 3 sided burms that you usually have to youself. Those, plus 24 hour indoor pistol, 200m rifle, covered bench 25/50/100 yd, a 600 yd range in the works, trap, archery, and a couple others. Definitely worth checking out. Members can bring guests for free which is nice too.
