Gun control talking points from 2020 Democrat candidates are filled with vague statements and non-specific terminology used to confuse voters who are uneducated when it comes to firearms and gun culture.

For example, “high-capacity magazines,” “assault weapons” and “common sense” gun control are buzzwords frequently thrown out by Democrat politicians to demonize firearms.

Remember, when a Democrat says “assault weapons” or “weapons of war,” they mean semiautomatic weapons which include everything from AR-15s to hunting rifles and handguns.

These politicians ignore the reality that a ban on semiautomatic weapons would be unsuccessful and inevitably result in a civil war.

“Nobody’s coming to take your guns” has never sounded more stupid.

Proof Every Single Dem Candidate is a Danger to the Second Amendment

My standard response to this bullshit is to invite the antis to take a close look at what the average cop carries on the duty belt and in the cruiser gun rack: high capacity semiauto handguns and rifles. Some carry full auto M16s. If these are "weapons of war", then why are sworn "peace officers" carrying them on our streets and in our schools?

There was a time not to long ago, mid to late 80's..? That the police carried 38 special revolvers, with maybe a shotgun in the back. I forget exactly when they made the switch from revolver to semi auto 9mm pistol, but do remember that high capacity semi auto pistols were around for a few years before they did switch to them.

The FBI shoot-out in Miami, where they were outgunned by thugs with vests and full-auto taught LE a lesson where the departments across the US started to abandon revolvers for semi-autos.

The very same police that they claim are all racist. They believe it's just fine to arm them, but not anyone else. Hmm...

The thugs were armed with one 12 gauge pump shotgun and one Ruger Mini 14. Agent Jerry Dove's high capacity 9mm failed to stop Michael Platt and he hosed the agents with .223 rounds. The gun that finally stopped the fight and killed both bad guys? A S&W Model 13, loaded with FBI loads (.38 Special 158 grain +P lead hollow points), in the hands of Agent Mirales, who continued to fight after having his right arm nearly shot clean off. Maybe more the determination and skill of the man behind the gun, rather than the type of gun in his hands.

The training video that we were shown included info that some agents were found to have pocketed their spent shell casings (a habit developed in training, otherwise you need to bend down and pick them all up).

Also allegedly one agent was running towards the action while trying to draw his gun from his ankle holster.

There was a lot that was learned from what went wrong there.
