I'm looking to have some simple engraving on a rifle in SE MA although I am willing to drive a ways to have a nice job done. I picked up a special edition Henry with an engraved receiver and inlaid stock for my son to mark the birth of his first boy. The idea is that it'll get passed down to the little guy someday. I want to get his son's (my grandson) initials and DOB enscribed on it. Anybody have any suggestions? I appreciate it.

when I gave my 2 granddaughters their first rifles (Henry's BTW), I had a brass plaque 1.5x2.5 inches engraved with the stuff I wanted and then screwed it onto the side of the stock. It looks good and is cheap to do. I had them made at a trophy shop.

Plaque sounds real nice. This gun is already pretty busy with the engraving. I was thinking about engraving on the butt plate or on the bottom of the receiver, small and simple. Haven't had a chance to check santuri's site yet. I guess I could remove the butt plate and have a trophy shop do it. Thanks.
