I really dont see prices returning back to that pre 2007 level well..ever. What all this Obamascare shit did was highlight the sad fact of reactionary gun buying. People actually bought AR's for 3 grand that are worth half that that or worse in some cases. It will take a long time for value to decrease after its been proven that price doesnt stop purchase.
Oh personal rant: None of this will save you from " Preban" buzzword price gouging.
The gun prices have pretty much fallen back to normal but ammo is going to suffer from sticky price, there's just no way around it with all the new shooters that have shown up in the past few years.

Ammo still is in under supply especially 22.
Firearms and rifle magazine prices seem to be stabilizing. Good time to buy.
From what I've seen, handgun magazine and of course, ammo prices are still pretty high.

From what ive seen pistols are still moving. Mainly in the CCW market. AR and rifle market has gone back to normal, many shops are over stocked.

Gun parts and reloading stiil can be hard to get but prices have gone down to somewhat normal levels.

Liberal propaganda and you guys are falling hook line and sinker for it.
Last year at this time was an anomaly. Sales are higher now than they have been any year except last year. NRA did a nice piece linked from their facebook page: see below for NICS check stats.
