Any decent ones who can modify a beavertail on a CZ compact and also cut new dovetails in a hi power clone slide.

Would like the beavertail to be more upswept than the downward tang it is now. And the clone i just need it cut front and rear for Novak sights

open to New England area

Id steer clear of modifying the aluminum frame CZs like that, but the steel frame ones are fine. I do the odd Novak sight cut on handguns. Not really all that popular anymore since so many guns have that from the factory now.

It’s the steel frame plain jane compact, I have A P01 and the beaver tail is so much more comfortable. When comparing side by side there’s enough meat to reshape to match. I have one place already said it would be no problem, but they are in Vegas.

I contacted Novak themselves about the slide and they were like send it on down totally doable. So I’ll send that down after Christmas.

Old Glory does some great custom work. Check them out. Greenville NH
Yup been in contact , send some photos of what I wanted waiting to hear back.

Tried most of the “smiths” around Mass and either they don’t work on CZs or never responded. MK3 out in Vegas was yea no problem for reasonable price and cost of the Cerkote job. Down side is lead time is pretty long and it’s in Vegas, they do a lot of work on hipowers adding beaver tails so they got what I was going for.

Get a steel frame P01 it won't be much cheaper to build out the frame on your compact.
That ship has sailed

They have discontinued the Steel P01s and they are fetching a pretty penny. I also have a P01 already but is the alloy frame version.

Also not interested in paying the mass markup

Unless you got a plug for them at free state prices by all means dm.

Other than that I’d rather spend the 200$ to have it modded and Cerakoted

At today's prices $200 is just the cerakote work. More depending on the shop. Re shaping and polishing a beaver tail like that is an hour and a half, maybe two, to do a good clean & even job.

In a real custom shop $200 does not go very far. The fellows with a Dremel and no insurance give the rest of us a bad name.

Anyone know a good smith to remove/refinish the flats on a pair of P7 M8 pistols that have grind marks like this?
