H&R Pardner410

I am looking to get my son his first shotgun when he turns 12 this November. I was looking at the H&R Pardner 410 online. Hoping to take him rabbit hunting this fall, and figured a single shot 410 is a good way to start. Does anyone have any experience with the brand or model?

I don't know much about that exact firearm, but a .410 should be a great gun to start with. Maybe look into getting a mossberg 500 in .410, I've been contemplating getting one of them for a while.

I looked at the Mossberg 500 as well. Was leaning toward a single shot as his first gun. That way he can learn the importance of aiming!
