I am thinking of joining either Harvard or Pelham. I wonder if there are any restrictions on the 200-300 yard ranges - i.e. single loading, firing from bench, etc...
Also, can you practice rifle in either club's IDPA pits at any distance, say 5 - 50 yards?

Thanks!

The main restrictions at Harvard are that you have to take a separate qualification test and no guests on the 200/300 yard ranges.

Harvard has ranges at 7,25,50,60,100 and a machinegun range at 35 yds that all allow rifle shooting. No rifles at the subgun range or plate racks and only handgun caliber rifles at the cowboy pits. Handgun caliber rifles are not allowed at the 2 and 300 yd ranges. There are 3 gun matches at the action pits but I don't know if you can shoot rifles there anytime you want. If you'd like to look at the club, let me know. I,m there every weekend. You could stop by the 2 and 300 yd range and talk to BigGun about qualifying.
