Has anyone tride the sig 22lr conversion on your p226?

I have one, and it handles federal bulk ammo just fine. I needed to fire 50-75 rounds to break it in though. Early on it had a lot of FTF's but after the break in it ran no problems.

I know these are still available, although they could just be selling off stock. I believe Sig wants you to buy the P226 22LR Classic and pick up one of the larger caliber conversion kits.

I have the 22 kit and have shot a couple thousand funds through it without any issues. Very accurate and a hoot to fire. I upgraded the mags through http://sigpower.com/ so they lock open the slide when empty. I also bought the stainless steel guide rod through the same folks. All high quality.

Besides the 22 set up, I have the 357 kit and 9mm for the 226 and it is great to be able to shoot all three in one range session.

I can't believe 226s have gotten so expensive, but with the conversion kits I believe they are an exceptional value. Enjoy!
