This is an early 1960's Colt National Match in from Hawaii. The owner wanted some conservitive mods and few issues corrected that had been done wrong. It for a new barrel fit, and bushing. MSH and beveled magwell, the slide was bottom beveled. The old bluing was removed and a new much truer to the orinal blue was applied. The grips are specially made of Koa, a wood found on the island of the Pacific. The owners getting a knife with Koa for the scales.

Oooohhhh... I like the tiger... What? Is that grain najtural or faux?


--edit... Is koa normally that finely striped or is that some kind of select?

Koa's like maple in the striping: some pieces have it, some don't. Google some pictures of high-end ukuleles if you want to be stunned by what koa can look like.
