Dick Heller is suing DC again. I'm really hoping Alan Gura is on the case again. He's suing over ammunition limits on concealed carry .. where tradition dictates a *minimum* amount of carry ammo, rather than DC's carry limit of:
* a full load in the gun, plus one reload, the total to not exceed 20 rounds.

As a compadre of mine said ... Poke That Bear !!!

20 rounds is lame and arbitrary.
So a Glock 19 I would have 16 rounds on the gun and a spare mag with 4 rounds. [banghead]

Does DC mandate cripple mags? The only way this makes sense is if they have a standard cap mag ban and are considering a magazine as 10 rounds or less.

2343.1
A person issued a concealed carry license by the Chief, while carrying the pistol, shall not carry more ammunition than is required to fully load the pistol twice, and in no event shall that amount be greater than twenty (20) rounds of ammunition.

Not trying to make sense of infringement but this is a weird one.
So if you went to the LGS while carrying and bought a box of ammo you would be in violation?

The rule was not a 20-round magazine limit. It was a restriction in which a carrier could not carry more ammunition than would be required to load a firearm twice while adhering to a 10-round magazine limit--like it was some kind of game.

Huh, IDPA rules I guess? Was a fishing vest required too? (Just kidding)
