THANK YOU
to all for the help, I was able to find one on parracarry's tip.
Thank you again!

Sorry if this is not the right place to ask for help with this.

However I'm looking for a Tavor in FDE preferably 16.5 inch barrel length.
Does anyone know of a shop in Ma. that has one currently in stock?
The few I have located are all Black or Od green.

thank you all in advance.

Maybe Gartman Arms in Foxboro. They typically have Tavors in stock.

But when I was in the market for a "hard to find" Tavor (left handed in my case), it was way easier and oddly way cheaper to just get it from out of state and have it transferred into MA. Added bonus was I got to choose the muzzle device that was pinned and welded on.

Plenty of FDE Tavors beyond our borders.

Does the Gun Parlor on-line catalog show in-stock inventory, or is it one of those deals where a distributor's inventory is their inventory? I suspect the later since the product listings are not customized for the DPRM (the Tavor listing states it includes a 10 and 20 round mag).

There are a number of distributors who allow dealers to interface with their web site so it appears that the distributor's entire inventory is available from the dealer - which it is, but by special order.

Not sure but the background in the photo is their wall and I can attest that they have a huge number of firearms on display.
I guess a phone call to the Gun Parlor in the morning by the OP would answer the question.

Thanks Enzo, but I actually called and they confirmed they had one, drove an the hour and half drive and when I got there it was an x95. Looking for just a Tavor, what they show on the site is not what is in stock at the moment. They only had one in odg. But ty
Exactly as I suspected. Probably one of those distributor "our entire stock is you inventory" website linkages.

I bought my DT Tavor in 9mm from Minuteman Armory in Templeton several months ago. They also had the same rifle in 5.56. Might want to give em a call. Might be able to get you one.

I was in Gartman today and they had fde and black tavors, as well as a ton of other cool shit.

edit: just read thread. Better call first as I wasn't paying attention to models. Sounds like you did.

Im curious why you would want the old model over the X-95. They are both awesome looking guns, but I love having the mag release up front on the 95, and the upgraded rail isnt terrible. Is there some bad juju about the new Tavors I don't know about?

Goose there is currently an issue with the x95 regarding accuracy, supposedly it comes from a bushing or grommet that is around the barrel and closes off the area around the front of the barrel and the shroud. If you google it you will see a bunch of reviewers that do a few extensive tests. also a personal preference for me of the old style over the new.

MAC did a Tavor X95 video where the removal of that bushing made no noticeable difference in accuracy. A second MAC video plus numorous posts on the Bullpup Forum point to the X95 just likes heavier ammo, but also it's not a marksmanship rifle, so the expectations of sub MOA may be unreasonable.

The Tavor SAR has a similar bushing. I removed the plastic "U" piece that was making contact with the barrel on mine. No noticeable difference for me or others on the Bullpup Forum, but my SAR has never had issue doing 2 MOA. There are a couple other spots on the SAR where parts make contact with the barrel (charging handle is one of those) that aftermarket solutions are being developed to solve.

I prefer the SAR controls over the X95 controls also. Reloading (with practice) is so fast and efficient. You can stay on target and reload with minimal movement.

No one is complaining that it isn't sub moa. They are complaining that it is 3+ moa.
There are comments on Bullpup Forum about the accuracy complaints from Arfcom, TFB, etc, and also BF members complaining as well with their own X95 experiences and expectations.

The one and only legitimate reason to complain is why does the X95 perform worse than the SAR. Why buy the X95, when its sister model does it better for the same price. The X95 is a little disappointing in that regard.

Found one,.... thank you all for the help, thank you parracarry for pointing me right to one.
updated first post to show that I have found one.
