Anyone known of something that can be added to either a P229 or to Eagle P226 magazines to enable them to not have a gap?



Have a bunch of pre-ban 17 round Eagle mags, and while I have read about the issues some people have with reliability, I have gone through over 1000 rounds with these and only had 3 malfunctions, one FTF, one FTE, and one semi-squib, in that it fired, but only moved the action back about 1/3 of the normal way, and sounded incredibly anemic.

Any suggestions?

Got a buddy with a 3D printer that can design stuff? Or just a buddy that can design stuff and I'll print a few for you (my itch to make stuff is back). I have a spool of semi flexible filament that feels about like a rubber Hogue grip. That might be perfect.

3d printing a sleeve that fills the void would be relatively easy
A couple of pictures with a ruler and pencils tracings and I could come up with a prototype in amn hour or two

It looks like a magazine extender closes up that gap.

How do these grab you for dimensions? I am going to work with my designer friend, but am curious if this is enough to work with.
