I bought my KAHR PM9 for $300 new with only one magazine through it. I really like this gun but it is a beast to break in. It takes about 200 rounds plus to get it working smoothly. You might want to get a small revolver for back up. Shop around there are a few gun owners out there that aren't happy with the break in period of this gun.
