This is a weird problem, it's had a tendency to FTF. Got it working for a while, and today it would not feed. Barrel was clear, chamber was clear, action working smoothly. Figured the tube magazine had something in it, but couldn't see anything. couldn't "knock it out." FINALLY, gave it a smack and out of the mag falls a .22 with 3 primer strikes. So, how could it get primer strikes if it never made it to the chamber?

I doubt strongly that I loaded the same bad round 4 times.

That is strange, I have a Henry 22 llever action and I can't figure out how that would happen..

On the bright side of things, Henry has great customer service. Give them a call..

I just might, except now it's cycling fine with the jam removed. I gave it a good cleaning too. I'll keep an eye on it and if it happens again, I'll call them.

It is comforting to know that if there really is a problem with it, they'll make it right.

Perhaps the extra "primer strikes" were from the cleaning rod.

The cleaning rod actually put circular marks on the lead, which came out flattened. I am considering the cleaning rod pushed the cartridge backwards against the action components which may have resulted in dents that look like primer strikes. That seams like the most logical reason right now.

I'm guessing this is an ammo issue - brand, lot number, I don't know. The good thing is I know how to clear it now, and I'm sure there is a pattern to this that I will discover.

I have a 410 lever action and the shells keep jamming on the loader mechanism and unable to close the lever.
