I got today's Morsle at 40wpm, almost on the first try. I think I need a warmup first to get my head in the right place. I still tend to try and decode vs just listen until I can tell my brain to relax.
@UJay, that's a good one. Trying to alternate is gonna be tricky. I'm left ear dominant for sure. If I try and talk on the phone with my right ear, I end up not paying any attention.
Awhile back I was working on an audio filter using a Teensy board. Someone had a design that used binaural audio. I never tried it because I wanted to design the filter myself, but I believe the way it worked is it shifted signals below your sidetone frequency to the left ear, and signals above your sidetone to the right, and obviously zero beat in both. As you tuned around you'd hear the signals move between your ears, giving it a 3D kind of feel. I should really try it. I don't know why I'm so stubborn; the guy had a nice design and I just had to do it myself.
My Dad was a sparky in the Navy. I was taught morse code at a young age. In fact I think I still have his morse code telegraph somewhere in the basement.
