Hello,

i was wondering if anyone had recommendations on a new trigger for the hk usp 45c. I love the gun but can't get used to where the trigger finally breaks.

thanks

I had bill Springfield install a match trigger and pretty sure he did something to the barrel to improve lock up. Results were the trigger is every bit a clean easy break in single action and I have been told by a reputable IDPA shooter it is one of the best triggers he has felt.

Needless to say, I recommend bill highly.

For a USP compact I would go with the L.E.M HK trigger. The only hold up is the H&K is very slow importing parts (HKparts.net has the best prices) If it was a full size I would do the HK Match trigger, but on a carry gun the LEM is the best. I have an usp 45 with the match trigger, a usp 9mm full size with the LEM, an I am waiting to get a kit to convert my usp 45 compact to LEM. I also have a usp .40 with Bill Springfields trigger job. It is nice but not quite the match trigger. He does good work and can install either the LEM or Match trigger for you. He can be tough to get a hold of but he is a nice guy. He also reworked the trigger box on my HK 53 SBR

I changed the spring on my USPc to lighten the trigger pull. Dont know if that would satisfy you though, but its cheap.

The LEM trigger is very nice once you get used to it, the slack in the trigger is the biggest hurdle to overcome and master. It (the slack) can be tricky but once dialed in....

Yeah the slack on my variant 1 is hard to get used to, which is my issue. I wish it would break sooner with less travel. By the time my finger is far enough back on the trigger to fire its in an awkward position. The weight of the pull isn't an issue. I am just used to a trigger on a G20 and an Ruger SP101 both with I can at least feel where they will release. This I feel like i have to practically tickle my palm with my trigger finger before it will go off. It causes me to twist to the right while firing. At the range i remove the right ears on all the silhouettes.

Plus 1 for Bill Springfield. Sent him my HK uspc 9 and its a whole new gun. Trigger is amazing now. Also of you are handy and have access to a drummel take all the internal components and put a mirror finish where they touch each other. Makes for a much smoother pull.
