Boredom strikes with an odd strawberry

I dunno, I would have used a smaller aperture/longer exposure or focused on the strawberry on the second picture. The strawberry is a bit distracting in that one. I still think your lube or canned corn pic are among your best ones.

Yea, it didn't come out as nice as I had hoped. Part of the problem was the stainless slide really reflected a lot more light than I had expected...and I just don't understand photography as well as I could

I like the lube and niblets ones as well, not cause they are great pics but simply for novelty. I think my S&W Model 60 pics are my best.

Try using a circular polarizer and bracketing.

2nd. A bigger and more diffuse light source would help and, also, try shooting RAW and use this technique for exposure.
