What type of holster material do you find least wearing/abrasive on your guns finish? How about most abrasive?

Abrasiveness is not as important as proper fit to the gun. If the gun wiggles around in the holster you will eventually get wear no matter what the holster is made out of.

it's a gun. not an iPhone... [laugh]

see post # 2 and # 3.

edit: unless your shooting IDPA / IPSC ect.. you will have minimal wear on your gun. mine tend to live inside their holsters. i have a few that have "minor" wear because i shoot them more than others. but it's a non-issue. i'd prefer function over appearance any day.

To actually answer the question, suede-lined leather is probably easiest on the finish, and straight up kydex is probably the harshest.

Keeping your holster clean also goes a long way to reducing finish wear.
