How would CMP issued Lake City 1970 Match M118 7.62mm NATO ammo stack up against today's offerings?

I'm looking at a can of 460 rounds of CMP issued Lake City 1970 Match M118 7.62mm NATO. This was real popular back in the day, but I wonder whether today's 7.62 offerings have surpassed this ammo and that there are better options to spend the money on. I've been shooting some CMP Match LC 30.06 and it's accurate stuff. Wonder if the same can be said for their older 7.62 offerings.
