Stolen Motor Vehicle Located, Four Juvenile Males Arrested, and a Firearm Recovered

At about 5:31 AM, on Saturday, May 24, 2025, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) were advised by Boston Police Operations to be on the lookout for a stolen motor vehicle.

The vehicle was originally reported stolen from 398 Cambridge Street, Brighton, around 7:12 PM, on Friday, May 23, 2025. Early the next day, the vehicle was seen by Newton Police fleeing the scene of a commercial breaking and entering at 376 Watertown Street, in Newton.

Wentworth Institute of Technology Police Department advised officers that the vehicle was seen on camera driving on Ruggles Street at approximately 5:00 AM.

Shortly thereafter, at about 5:24 AM, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to the area of 60 Southern Avenue for a report of a person with a gun. Officers advised that four individuals attempted to rob a victim and displayed a firearm. The suspects fled the scene, and officers were able to broadcast a description of the fleeing vehicle.

An officer from District B-2 observed the stolen vehicle traveling on Warren Street towards Dudley Street. The officer requested assistance from other police units to stop the vehicle. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle in the area of Dudley Street and Dearborn Street, but the vehicle refused to stop, and drove around multiple marked police cruisers.

The vehicle fled the area at a high rate of speed, and failed to stop for the red light at the intersection of Malcolm X Boulevard and Columbus Avenue. Officers lost sight of the vehicle, and began to search the area of Tremont Street and Saint Alphonsus Street. A supervisor was able to review cameras and could see that the vehicle never left the area.

A search for the vehicle began, and it was located just before 6:00 AM, in a public open garage underneath 75 Saint Alphonsus Street. The vehicle was left parked crooked and partially protruding out of the marked lanes. Multiple vape products were found inside the vehicle, which was secured. The Newton Police Department took custody of the vehicle, and it was towed to their Police Station.

The four suspects were then seen walking in the area of 1600 Tremont Street. A foot pursuit ensued, and the suspects were apprehended at the intersection of Huntington Avenue and Tremont Street. Officers conducted a search of the suspects and recovered multiple stolen vape products. A spent shell casing was recovered from one of the 15-year-old juvenile males, and the stolen car keys were found in possession of the 16-year-old juvenile male.

A firearm was recovered from the 14-year-old juvenile male, which was determined to be a Palmetto Armory with one round in the chamber and eight rounds in a large capacity magazine. The firearm also had a laser sight affixed to it.

During the booking process, the 14-year-old juvenile male provided officers with a false name. Officers were able to determine the true name of the suspect which revealed he had an active warrant out of Juvenile Court for Firearm related Offenses.

The four juvenile males were placed under arrest and expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.

▪ The 15-year-old Juvenile Male was charged with Delinquent to wit; Carrying a Firearm Without a License, Delinquent to wit; Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License, Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Delinquent to wit; Receiving Stolen Goods.

▪ A second 15-year-old Juvenile Male was charged with Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Delinquent to wit; Receiving Stolen Goods.

▪ The 14-year-old Juvenile Male was charged with Delinquent to wit; Receiving Stolen Goods, and Delinquent to wit; True Name Violation.

▪ The 16-year-old Juvenile Male was charged with Two Counts of Delinquent to wit; Receiving Stolen goods.

I’m certain they will be good boys going forward. If I did 1/8 of any of the crap these delinquent did when I was 14/15, first the cops (well Garda in my case) would kick the $hit out of me, then they would drop me home where they would watch my father do the same….in fact they would probably cheer him on. The world is gone as soft as puppy $hit.

Usually these arrests are 2nd, 3rd, or 4th time - and they still serve no jail time. MA gun laws aren't designed to lower crime - they are designed to keep us patriotic Americans on our heels.
No. Designed to free your finances for their theft.

It's always interesting to look at the charges. "possession of a large capacity firearm" WTF does that mean? I have no idea what happened to the definitions of gunz in the latest bill, but it used to be some convoluted flow chart that determined if a gun was "large capacity" or not. Under that framework I guess the PSA Dagger (I'm assuming, maybe their 5.7 offering? Newton police will probably have to send it off to the ATF to determine that haha) with a large capacity magazine would be a large capacity firearm, which IIRC carried stiffer penalties for not properly storing but that was it. I don't think simply carrying one (i.e. carrying a glock 19 with a 10 round mag--which was considered large capacity cause it was on a magical list--or, say, a glock 26 with a 12 round magazine--G26 not being intrinsically "large capacity" since it wasn't on the list, but having a 11+ round mag in it making it so) without an LTC was worse than carrying a non large-capacity firearm. Maybe this is a roundabout way to go easy on them? Or possibly they just don't understand the law or know what they are doing. Probably the latter as they know the charges will be dropped eventually [rolleyes]

It seems to be working as expected at least in Springfield. There are more guns on the street as ever before. Out on bail 3 4 times for gun charges, just keeping the criminals armed and free.
Don't get caught with your empty large capacity magazine not in a locked container because you will never get out of jail.

I'm still trying to understand why they would want them in the first place
The only reason I would buy a PSA gun is to flex on NES that I was able to buy one.

The thought of jealousy from all the people that can't figure it out is very tempting.

Besides that, I don't care about their guns.
