The article didn't mention what they were hunting or the firearm used.
I'm guessing it was upland game with a shotgun ???

You got to know who your buddies are, and if they understand and use "zones of fire". Unless you are Dick Cheney, just because you hear/see something to shoot at, it DOES NOT mean it is safe to pull the trigger.
