I have been casually looking for a 22 to plink with at the range to get some more shooting time in. I finally tripped over this Walther P22 that caught my eye at a decent price. I know these guns have a reputation of being fussy with what you feed it but its nothing compared to feeding a 45. I'll likely spend some time with it this weekend.

I love mine, I was told to break it in with C.C.I mini mags. I did and it has eaten everything flawlessly . Don't,know if it was the ammo or just a good gun, but I would do it again. Just a thought . Enjoy your purchase!

I think that was a solid purchase. Nothing makes you a better shooter like rounds down range. This was wise

yea I have a box of CCI mini mags, I bought it used but I have to say I don't think it was used much. I broke it down and see very little ware on the barrel or the slide guides. I'm very pleased with this purchase and price. It a very tight gun as much as I can tell without shooting any rounds through it. I am certainly looking forward to getting in more range time.

I have one of these and have never had an issue with it eating anything I have fed it. It is a fun weapon to shoot and you're right it's a lot cheaper than my .45!

Well here it is, these are not my best pictures and I'll take some better ones this weekend. I'll take more time to set up some proper lighting. I really like Blue guns, they are my favorite color in a firearm. I took a picture of it with my comander sized S&W E Series. My 1911 is my daily carry and that will not change. For the time being I'm carrying the p22 in my Fatboy shoulder bag and the 1911 in my crossbreed holster.

I know it's silly but I think both of these guns are pretty sexy looking. I fell in love with the Bobed 1911 long befor I bought it. The P22 was like seeing a hot chick for the 1st time and just had to have it. I looked at a lot of 22s and they just didn't do it for me. I need a connection with my guns or it just doesn't work for me

I bought a P22 4 yrs ago and i had many jams. I used Blazer and winchester in it. I know that all will say go with CCI mini mag but it should shoot anything. I did think the 1st ones made had issues. anyone want it? 200.00

I have always told everyone that I talk guns with that the best purchase for a shooters soul is a little .22lr auto. I haven't shot many of the others, but I love my P22. I liked mine so much that I got a G22 to keep it company in the safe.

Good for you. Nice pics too. I have had my P22 for two years now, with no problems. Its a fun little shooter. I think its under rated do to some prior issues.

I'll shoot the hell out of it and see what happens.

I am interested in a range report for your Walther. I have several 22's but have been thinking about getting rid of my Ruger 22/45 for either the SR-22 or the Walther. I would also like to pick up a S&W 22 caliber revolver. My Son really wants one and a double action revolver is a great training tool to master trigger pull.

I have a couple of really cool 22 rifles, and with the current ammo shortage, they have been seeing a lot more range time lately. In retrospect, buying my M&P 15-22 may have been on of the best firearms purchases I have made. The darn thing is too much fun

I've shot mine a ton. I've shot it next to other 22lr pistols and found that it jams on the same ammo that the other jam on (which makes me blame the bullet, not the weapon and in fact those shooting with me changed ammo). During my sessions I've gone through well over 500 rounds and only had one jam when firing someone else's supply.

The only comment I have is that everyone who fired it had the safety on the first time they fired and thought it failed to cycle or fire so they threw away a good bullet. lol The other thing is the spring etc. I'll venture that many who didn't understand metal thought they broke their gun taking it apart and kinking the spring when in reality it'll just straighten up after awhile.

Honestly, that was it! I could group well at some good distance at the indoor range and it seemed that everyone who grabbed it could do the same if they had any experience.

I purchased this for my wife to learn how to shoot and I have zero regrets. She has learned how to shoot, clean it, you name it all from this little compact and it's made her want bigger and has already considered a 9mm.

I have a box 375 CCI mini mags for it so I'm not expecting any real trouble with it. I have learned it is an older P22 probably an 03. The test shell has a date of 17/12/03 and the date code is AD. It doesn't look like the gun was fired much at all and I have no history on it at all. The feed ramp has never been polished and the slide does have the friction spot over the hammer. I'll know more after I take it out and put some lead down range. I suspect at the very least I'll have to polish the feed ramp and hammer at some point. Their is very little wear on this gun so it sat in a gun safe or for some reason got little use. The barrel wrench is missing so I'll have to make one. I got a good deal on it so I don't really mind having to do a little work on it if I need to. The edge going into the barrel is verry sharp so their has been no work done to this gun at all
