I got a killer deal on a S&W shield .40 tonight!

I bought myself a .40 shield today for a great deal. I am curious if anyone has one and how the recoil is on such a small pistol. I like how this pistol feels in my hand much more than my Walther pps. And I love that it has a manual safety.

My friend owns a gun shop so I only paid $370 from him. I like a manual safety on any pistol I pocket carry or I carry with a chambered round. Just my preference.

I had a short range visit today and tried the Shield. I have to say I love it! I like it more than my $600 Walther pps and I can shoot it better as well. I dont mind the sights or the trigger. Here are the first 13 rounds fired from my shield (6 round mag and 7 round mag) at 20 yards.

My friends shop is Pats gun shop in lanesboro ma. You will not meet a more honest or kind person to deal with. He does not sell much new stuff he usually deals only in used stuff. But if your nice he will order new stuff for you. His ammo prices are excellent. If you tell him I sent you you will be good.

Yea, pats is definitely more for the collector than one looking modern arms. I saw great old bayonets and ammo.

He has a couple of nice pieces right now. A national match m1a a mini 14 and a used walther pps in 9mm plus others. If you are a veteran he will pay much respect. (he is a veteran himself)
I only toot his horn because in the last 20 years I have been a gun owner I have never met a more honest and kind gun store owner.

I stopped there Monday he told me I just missed the two shields that they had. Saw the PPS he says was traded on the shield. I bought mine down the road for MSRP in. 40. Great shop. Good conversation. I've got a couple of relics he said they might be interested in. Definetly going back.

I did trade that pps for the shield. I can shoot the shield far better than I could the pps, although the pps is a very well made and perfectly reliable pistol.
