This gun is awesome, i only have about 300 rounds through it but its not had a single issue. Its a full size series 80 1911 with a match barrel, trigger and sear and black nitride finish. Offhand it and i shoot 6"-7" groups at 25 yds, from a bean bag rest we shoot about a 3" group. I am i guess a practical shooter, there are more expensive 1911's, theres the series 70 vs 80 stuff,( i have a series 70)but all these things aside, i love this gun. its very well made, the finish is outstanding. It has the unique Sig slide profile and an external extracter, i like it, its nice, purists prolly don't like it but who cares. Its my carry gun now and yes its heavy, and its big, and its AWESOME. ( I did change out the grips, the stock ones i didn't like, i put on some Valkyrie dynamics machined aluminum grips) I'm very happy with it and i would recommend it for anyone that's curious about it.
Someone told me before i bought it that its a lot of money for what you get, but i would argue now that its a lot of gun for the money.

TTT has adjustable rear sight which i found helpful for hitting 100 yard gong. otherwise same difference. the grips on the TTT look stupid so had to swap em so the gun looks less retarded.

XO model looks overall cleaner. either way pretty much same gun.

I actually don't mind the stock maple grips. I think they look good against the black/silver. But..those grips look awesome Chris.

I have the TTT model and like the OP, my experience has been excellent. Very reliable and accurate. Like some others, I am looking to try other grips with some texture and the cutout so my thumb can reach the mag release a little easier.

Sigs are a great build up gun, you can turn them into an amazing shooter, did that with my TTT. From a previous post.

I just bought a Sig TTT in December, I was considering the SR11 and the s&w e series, I really wanted the S&W performance center, but there was no way I was paying that much for a 1911.

So I decided a well priced TTT would be an excellent 1911 to build up. I got the TTT for 859.

The quality of the ruger wasn't worth building on, the S&w e series was more than the TTT and the trigger out of the box far inferior.

For 200 more than ruger, you are getting alot more quality. Out of the box, trigger 5.25, barell accuracy is excellent, fit and function great. I really like the combat night sights, the burl grips were not my fave, wrong color for me. The trigger is adjustable for pre and over travel.

I polished the internals, the disconnector hole really needed some work, adjusted the trigger and bent the sear spring, got a nice 4.25 trigger pull and minor pre travel, though there was some creep, very minor, but I am fussy.

I installed the cylinder and slide series 80 parts and after install still felt some creep, but had a 3.25lb pull.

Well as I still wasn't satisfied, I bought the Ed Brown sear jig and did a sear and hammer job, I also used a trigger channel stone as the trigger channel was very rough.

Well after changing the sear angles, I had to readjust the sear spring alot, as it went to 5lbs, but the break was clean, I wouldn't bother doing the sear on the TTT again. Threw a new sear spring in and adjusted to 3 lb break. I still could feel the littlest creep, some of it was the sear leaf of the spring moving.

The sig trigger has a lot of vertical play and space in the trigger channel.

I just installed the Wilson combat trigger, took alot of fitting, I have basically no pre travel, trigger creap is gone, I need to adjust the sear leaf a bit, still can feel it lift after the disconnector. EDIT 1/9/16: I adjusted the sear leaf another 1mm, that did it, ZERO creep, awesome trigger pull.

Anyway my TTT 1911 will now, far outperform any performance center and likely most far more overpriced 1911s.

The TTT is good out of the box 1911, but will provide the foundation for an amazing 1911 if you spend the time to adjust it and about $100 more.

thank you for the review and the details of you're build, its great, nice work.. the xo is my carry gun, its a combat gun, it serves this purpose very well. yes i have some trigger creep, the gun isnt optimized for target shooting. But its still awesome, i prolly wont notice the creep when its needed to defend me and mine. it and i shoot very well out of the box and i see no need to modify it for its intended purpose. ( i have other guns for that lol)
