Finally got on the wagon and bought one of these here mamma-jammas:

I think I'll name it "Impending boom". [smile]

Very nice gun, and impressive cal.
But what do you need the comp for ????[rofl]

You what the funny thing is? The shop that I bought it from had the 2 1/2" NON-compensated version in stock too! I thought it looked meaner with the compensator though. Talk about a wrist-wrecker. [smile]

I mean really, what kind of wuss fires only 400 grain target loads?

That's only like 10 .22 bullets all melted down into one big glob and jammed on to a one and a half inch chuck of pipe filled with gunpowder.

If you were a real man, you would have gotten one for each hand[grin] .

Just a grammar question. I always have trouble figuring out that kind of statement. Not sure what it is about it. I am sure english as a second language speakers look at a sentence like that and their heads explode.

Sort of a wordy "King's English" kind of affair. Something I would imagine the villian would utter right after his montage, wherein he trains and schemes after a crushing defeat at the hands of our hero.

Oh say, mid-way through the movie.

He would then reappear (along with some dramatic incidental theme music) and then produce said .500 S&W and proclaim in a thunderous tone:

"I now too, go kaboom!"

Lots of "kabooming" ensues, stuff blows up, a man on a unicycle rides from left to right across the frame etc...

Just the way you'd picture it... [smile]

fooped...did you get an eotech yet?

i was gonna sell mine because i didnt like the thumbscrew mount but i just recently changed it out for a throw lever mount which seems much sturdier

havent taken it to the range yet so only time will tell

but it will be at the shoot if you havent purchased an optic yet so you can see if you like it before you run one on yours

You know it. [smile]

I'd love to pick your brain at the shoot about good loads for this gun.

I picked up one of the 500's as well and have been doing a lot of Brain picking with him. He's a bundle of knowledge. Actually, I can forward some of his PM's that are a packed full of info.

I would greatly appreciate that as long he's ok with it (which I imagine he would be [smile] )
