I think Mossberg has something going for it

They introduced the Mossberg flex rifle at shot show.bolt action. It combines the ability to swap out stocks as well as take AR-15 style mags. You can slap on a pistol grip only , or a stock with pistol grip already together, or traditional rifle stock

That's neat, you can put a telescoping stock, flash hider, bayonete mount, and a Granada launcher on it and not run afoul of the AWB. Too bad it's only 1:9 twist

I feel the same way - if I'm going to be firing fewer rounds, they better have more power behind them. Something along the lines of a Remington 7600P - high cap mags and I think it would be more comfortable than a pistol grip on a bolt (which requires you to remove your hand from the pistol grip in an extremely awkward motion). I'm actually thinking this might be my next rifle.

I found this thread in researching what I hope to be my next gun.

MVP Patrol in .308 should be coming out as p/n 27738, or 27739 with 3-9x scope.

I would love my next gun to be something like the Ruger Gunsite Scout type concept.

10+rd box magazine-fed .308 bolt gun. <20" threaded bbl. < 8lbs.

Looking at Savage 10, the Ruger GSR, and hoping this rumored Mossberg actually comes out. It's considerably less expensive than the Ruger. Seems unavailable everywhere. I'd love the Savage but for their proprietary magazines.
