Thinking model 870 18"

I see that FS has them (per their website) at a great price.

Does anyone know if they have the left handed ones? And are they the 7 capacity ones?

I'd call and ask, but I know they're so busy down there that I hate to call and have one of you guys get stuck waiting in line while the guy is answering my stupid questions.

I doubt they'd have one that's Left Handed, not sure what the difference
would be, though, unless the safety is reversed and it ejects in the other
direction?

Most lefty rifles and shotguns are "special order" type of deals.

that's what i figured. The lefty version is as you described. I like to eject spent shells in a direction other than across my face.

I used to have a mossberg 500 and it wasn't really much of a problem but I'd rather have the shells fly out in the "right" direction.

Im a lefty, thus far I have owned 870 and 1100 in LF hand. Needless to say they where traded. The 870 just never worked well, Ejection was never good.

The 1100 had some problems with the trigger assembly/shell lifter. A few trips to the gun smith never really functioned well.
I still have my trusty 870 exspress RH model. Never a issue. Installed a Left hand safety from Tanks rifle shop and never looked back.

if you sway from the 500, there are some shotguns (ithica and others) that eject out of the bottom...that might help not having to special order something...

Browning BPS eject out of the bottom...and they are running for cheap as used 12 Ga. Just not as many tacticool addons....

The first time I shot my dad's BPS the shell ejected and hit me in the foot...I thought I broke his gun...

on a side note, he is the only person I let shoot to my left in a duck blind

I can do a new 21" 870 left hand for you.
21" because I will cut down the new 26" barrel, the 18" barrels for 870 left hand guns are impossable to find and there are no new L/H 870 18" barrels.
I can also do this in 18.5" although you will lose one round capacity.
The 21" has a mag tube that holds 3 the gun holds 5 this makes it a 8 round gun and if you put one in the pipe it is a 9 round gun the 18.5" gun uses a 2 round mag tupe extention and that makes 5+2=7 put one in the pipe you have 8.
My price for this complete new gun with a extended 7 round mag tube is $526.00.
