I got my LTC about a month ago... bought my first rifle the next day.

- 32 years old
- stable well paying job
- 2 boys (age 4 and 2)
- spent about $4000 already (in this for the long haul)
- willing to drive from auburn
- I have zero gun experience, never fired a shot in my life
- NRA member

How does the action pits work for members? Can members just use one to practice action shooting? Can you shoot rifles in the action pit? Do they need ROs to shoot outdoors? I've been there for one match a few weeks ago and have been to one wed practice.

Yup, members can practice in the action pits whenever they're not being used for a match. There's almost always something available during monthly club matches, some of the big matches might use almost everything. Dan could answer that for sure.

No ROs needed anywhere. Rifles are allowed on the 65yd range at the end of the row of action pits.

To follow up on Jeff, you cannot shoot rifles or shotguns in the Action Pits; Handguns only.

The only exception is during organized scheduled events.
