ID the SMG in this grainy photo

Can't quite figure out what that is.
Doesn't appear to have the forward grip shroud of an UZI, but doesn't look like the size of a standard Mac-10.

Buddy found this cruising a singles website but thought I might have fun trying to identify the firearm.
