An illegal alien has been charged with felony rape with a firearm and sodomy in Georgia, according to authorities.


The Grady County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 21-year-old Jhonthan Samuel Lopez on Tuesday during an investigation launched in partnership with the Oak House Child Advocacy Center.


Lopez was taken into custody “without incident” and booked into Grady County Detention Center.


Authorities have confirmed he is illegally present in the U.S. and Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a detainer on him.


While details about the case remain limited, information and statements provided by Sheriff Earl Prince indicate the victim may have been a minor.


“There is zero tolerance for crimes against children in Grady County,” said Sheriff Prince stated.


“We will relentlessly pursue justice for victims and remove dangerous individuals from our community.”
