Any of y'all a certified instructor who has experience training kids? Also, is there a age that is too young? My friend has two kids, a 13 year old boy and a 15 year old girl. The boy is pretty large for his age. Could be mistaken for 2 years older. He has a license, but was interested in getting them trained up by someone who has experience specifically training kids.

Define "Training". Basic firearms safety, a specific discipline, or.....?

My kids learned by osmosis (as I did), and a short stint in the Club's Junior Rifle program

As for too young, my kids were safe at 7 (with moderate supervision), and the younger was competing at Trap at 9. He then got his Instructor cert at 13, so it's all about the kid, and the kid's attitude.

Granite State has a kid safety program that is free I believe,.. I put my then 12 year old (3 years ago) through it just for the formality. Firearm safety starts with your example,.. and with what you refuse to tolerate from other shooters in front of your children. Safety starts at home.
