Is the Mill famous?

Commercial buildings are public buildings and anyone can wander around in them unless they intend to do something illegal. Jack.
@one-eyed Jack NOT true! You can "trespass" anyone for any reason. More below.
You need to prove a relationship with a person to get a restraining order.

So should I go there this weekend and spend all my money before it’s too late? 🥲
True, other than the 258E restraining order, but that requires 3 police reports before you might get one. Not the solution either.
You can still trespass people and bar them, but it is a pain in the ass process.
True but not a PITA process at all. As a retired constable, I served these. Person writes a "no trespass" letter and a constable serves it to the individual (or the Globe in this case) plus a copy to the local police. After that if the person (or Globe employee) is seen on the property, a call to the police and they get arrested for criminal trespass.
Attorney + Letter of No Trespass = [devil2]
No attorney required. See above.

Got a call from a gal who said that she was a Globe reporter and wanted to interview me about having a record # of gun dealers in the same building, etc. I told her that I wouldn't wipe my ass with the Globe and to keep her liberal butt out of the building. Was this legit or are one of you gun guys having a little fun? Jack.
I mention that the mill is one of if not the highest density of ffl's in the US pretty regularly on some pretty liberal message boards like reddit.

Word is probably getting out, and good for you.

I don't know what may have changed since the late 80s but we had trespassing arrests down to a science at the old Shoppers World. You have to keep in mind that we were all FPD Specials so we had more options than the average rent-a-cop, essentially the same as a PO but only while we were working. The owners had their high priced lawyers write up a sign posted at every entrance stating the general public was permitted on the property for the purpose of shopping, all others were trespassing. So if you wanted to get rid of a group of people who were causing trouble all you needed to do was walk up to them and ask "what's up", they would always answer "just hanging out". Well hanging out isn't shopping so instant trespass, take out the cuffs and call the station for transport. There is a reason we never had issues with rowdy groups, gangs, or protestors. Now college kids trying to steal the dear from Santa's village, that was a problem every year.

So put up some signs that say all reporters or members of the media are trespassing. @nstassel would that pass as proper notification?

Just tell her she wouldn't be allowed in because you take firearms laws very seriously. Unless she has successfully completed training through a Mass State Police and NRA approved course, has 3 letters of recommendation, an FBI background check and is in possession of an unrestricted LTC, she can not be near firearms...even if she is with a highly respected news agency like the Boston Globe.
How do you say that last part with a straight face?

If she called you, she will start calling all the FFL in the building. At least the ones that are easy to find.

I would send Everyone an Email so no one talks.

Wasn’t there some hippy chick who was renting there and wanted to leave because of the gunz? She probably called the glob thinking that they still have readers and could do a hit piece to shut it down.

the glob will send in people with “hidden cameras” like they were sneaking into the underworld of illegal firearms dealing, and come away with a bunch of pictures of middle-aged guys in cargo shorts and new balance sneakers and maybe a few tactical fanny packs.
I hope they weren't around with hidden cameras when I was there last weekend and said something about finger f*cking a certain gun that a certain NES member ordered and was at the dealer. It might have been a Desert Eagle won at auction.

Any dealer in this state would have to be completely brainless to speak to the media, especially after the hatchet jobs that they did to MFS, and later on with Gun Parlor.

Too late. She camped out in one of the shops two weeks ago. They asked her to leave and she declined. She sat and watched them conduct business.

Bloomberg was around also the week before. One shop sat and talked to them for over an hour before someone went in and kicked them out of the building.

Unfortunately with 75+ FFLs in the building, it’s possible to locate the dim bulbs and get them talking.

I’m sure both Bloomberg and the Globe will write thoughtful balanced pieces…

1. There is always the idiot that talks.

2. What kind of p*ssy doesn't kick them out and let's them sit there?

There goes my hope the Mill was idiot free.

I wonder if they also spoke with any of the customers.

I can see it, all the names and signs for the shops some hidden camera photos of the wares, interview with the police...and your quote in the opening paragraph.
How can the media get away with using hidden cameras in a two party consent state? Or do they just run video and no audio?

Why wasn't she trespassed?

That room has a lot of unbidden cameras…
Back when I used to rent a studio for the band, the owner of the building had cameras all over his store, he would record stupid sh*t people say and post it online.

I found out the hard way. There are a couple of videos floating around of me telling some stories.

I’m sure she is drafting an unbiased and reasonable story about the Mill. Can’t imagine a reason she or her Globe associates would publish anything else. /sarc

Just wondering why they didn't call the Po Po and have her arrested????? Maybe Ma is different, but in NH, a person that refuses to leave the premises ( yes, even a commercial property open to the public) when asked, is subject to arrest.

i think we're at the mercy of public opinion when it comes to our gun rights. be nasty all you want, go to state house rallies dressed as a ninja with an ar strapped to your back, and that's all people see, cringe at and remember. they shut off the rest. but there are people on the fence regarding this thing and being civil might help that person decide to be for us.

it's guaranteed in the 2a, right? gun ownership. while in my short time on earth they have chip, chip, chipped away at those rights. there are a lot of us here at nes who remember a time you could virtually buy anything you wanted in the state...by mail order, too. and there are now plenty of people born who are on this board who think s&w and ruger are the only gun manufacturers out there cause they don't see much else in shops.

while a lot of people are fed up and disgusted the way things are going, the one thing the little guy can do is not act like how most anti-gunners already perceive us, vile, ignorant and violent. i've had more than one anti tell i wasn't what they expected when we met, they had another picture in mind.

you can swear at people all you want, open carry to shock people, tote your ar to the rally. i don't care. when it's time to vote, i'm saying people remember the bad stuff. there will be a time when we're going to need that one vote to stay afloat. if you think i'm not on your side cause of the way i think about it, start tossing the stones now.

Lol and who do you believe the arbiter of that is?

Protip: thankfully it's not the media. Its an opinion generated more likely because people have gun owners in their circles of friends and family. At least in most of the
country, maybe not MA. Although with like half million LTC holders or whatever it is now, a lot of people probably DO know gun owners if they live outside of a big dump
city.

You naievly assume they even know it happened. Most don't. most don't even care. (gun owners or nons alike). Gun control is a peacocked/astroturfed issue in most of the
country, frankly.

Also most voters arent running around mentally kvetching and handwringing about gun control. Particularly not at this point after the last 2 years.

Different ballgame, different context.

when it comes to horrible media sources (like the GLOB) who have already been proven to be incontrovertibly harmful to gun owners?

No quarter. Not even one inch. Never.

The answer should always be- f*** those people. "get out, or I'm going to get the cops to get you out, your choice".

Dealers allowing media outlets that have clearly acted in bad faith and with bad intent is pretty horrible.

Communist media in MA should be viewed no differently than child predators, etc ad nauseam.

On tv, channel 5 wcvb and their twits Karen Anderson and mike beaudet are the biggest hatchet scammers. They’ve don’t a few garbage gun pieces. Their reports are filled with lies and they use stats in a completely dishonest way each time. I called out beaudet on his lies amid how he used fake stats and he basically said so what. Guy is a pos

Nothing you say will make them like you. You are deplorable. Last year they were calling to put conservatives in camps if they wouldn’t get the jab. Gun owners are the first obstacle to that goal.
I don’t care if they like me or us. I just want to be left alone

I used to love getting the telemarketing calls from the glob.

I'd explain that I don't own a Parrot or Parakeet.

Sometimes they would get it, other times I would have to explain it to them..............
Do you fish?

It's more than just guns too, I know people who had been interviewed by this or that newspaper (for some innocuous thing, like being interviewed as a witness or something) only to see
a quote from them get printed and be like "The guy interviewed me for like 5 minutes and basically he quoted the dumbest thing I said and only used that part of the conversation"

None of the dealers at the Mill are doing anything illegal. None of the customers at the Mill are doing anything illegal. Sadly, that doesn't mean anything to so-called "journalists" these days. Everything is about "messaging" and perception. Maybe Jack should post signs at all the doors saying "This building is private property. We reserve the right to expel anybody at any time for any reason" -- just like the casinos.

Might not want to do that given the attention it draws. Liberal Reddit… “You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious”

Absolutely. What I went after beaudet for was his absolute obsession with getting a hands free driving bill passed in Massachusetts. He was at Boston fox before wcvb and he did the same piece with the same biased interviewees probably a dozen times over 6 years. He’d bring up the state of 3000 deaths from distracted driving and cell phones. The distracted driving stat encompasses putting on make up, cell phones, eating, etc it wasn’t only cell phone use. He’s purposely lied though and was obsessed with activist journalism to get the bill passed. He’d bring on the parents of a kid how died using a cell phone driving. He’d leave out that the kid dropped the cell phone on the passenger floor and was reaching to pick it up when he crashed. He died because he was dumb, not because of a cell phone.

the media will absolutely lift quotes out of context etc to push their agenda. Probably the most recent egregious one was the false one of trump fine people regarding the Charlottesville Virginia stuff. Trump was talking about the non violent people protesting for and against the statue removals but the media used his words to say he was praising the racist moron tiki torch douchebags. The full clip shows he clearly condemned them but the media lied.

Channel 5 stuck a microphone in front of my face on the way into the first game back from the Boston bombing for the Bruins (before they caught the guys) . They asked a bunch of questions but one of them was how I thought they would handle remembering the victims. My quote was "I hope its a celebration of their lives and who they were". They used "I hope its a celebration" and then cut to something else.

My mom called me before the first period even started and said I looked like a remoron on the news (redundant)
